September 28, 1990
Made up of over 100 works, the collection includes paintings by Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove, Georgia O’Keefe, and Charles Sheeler. The Leominster industrialist and his wife reputedly bought paintings that they liked that would fit into the back of their station wagon. After William Lane’s death in 1996, Sandra Lane donates another 6,000 photographs, 25 painting and 100 works on paper in 2012.
